![]() ![]() ![]() Overall, the Zephyr gaming mouse is a promising concept that is still rough around the edges. Barring a long-term test, however, it’s hard to judge just how durable the part is. Having a fan also adds a moving part to the mouse, which can potentially break in the future. ![]() The cloth housing for the cable, however, felt somewhat loose in certain areas. The body itself feels pretty solid and I had no issues with the buttons. I actually had to place the mouse next to my face in order to feel the air that was coming out since I could barely feel it with my palms.Īs far as long-term build quality, I’ve only had a month with the device so my views are based on shorter-term use. The low setting is essentially useless as it doesn’t pump out enough air to make a difference. The fan comes in two speeds that can be toggled by pressing a button underneath the mouse. The openings basically serve an aerating function as well, especially when combined with this mouse’s standout feature - its built in-fan. Then again, those holes aren’t just for looks. Combined with its LED lights, the mouse definitely pops out. The mouse is filled with several holes that are almost akin to a coral reef pattern. ![]() The other reason why bystanders were also attracted to the Zephyr, however, is its unique open design. The blinking and bright settings can just be a bit too distracting so I just pick the most muted cycle. Many of the patterns are a bit too loud, and that’s coming from someone who loves LED lighting. The patterns range from fast blinking to smoother transitions. The Zephyr comes with seven preset lighting patterns that cycle through the entire lighting spectrum. I’ve had several people actually stop and ogle at the white variant that I was sent after I left it in the kitchen while connected to my laptop. Visually, the mouse is sure to turn some heads. ![]()
